Health and Sports:
There is a wide variety of sports or physical activities that are usually common in Mexico, ranging from football soccer, baseball, basketball, football, to activities such as yoga, Pilates, cross-training, among others.
Mexico is also known for its various natural places all over the country, which makes it possible to practice sports outdoors. Some of the most common are hiking, mountain biking, fishing, etc.
How can I join a practice team or a gym?
The availability for practice teams depends a lot on the type of sport. For example, it may be easier to find a soccer team than a horse-riding club.
The price range may also vary depending on the availability and specialization of the sport. A regular gym’s monthly fee may range from $40 to $60, depending on the neighborhood and quality of the equipment. Most sports centers require a single membership payment, which tends to be a little bit higher than the monthly payment.
There may be extreme sports available depending on the region such as rafting, parachute jumping, surf, bungee jump, etc. These sports tend to have a higher cost and usually involve signing a responsive letter.

Popular Entertainment
Mexican culture is very rich concerning arts and entertainment. There are different forums where many popular events take place, from concerts and live music shows to cultural/theatrical performances and Mexican folklore ballet.
During recent years, Mexico has increased its participation as a host for large international music events and festivals, mainly in Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara, and Puebla.
The costs for attending these events depend on the city and the show, but local events can be as affordable as $20 up to $100 for international or more elaborate shows (expenses inside the event are not included). Usually, these events do not allow bringing food or drinks inside the facilities.
Additionally, there are many different entertainment centers such as museums, movie theaters, large shopping malls, natural parks, among many others.
Shopping in Mexico
Types of shops
Department stores| complexes: Mexico world-class department stores offer a similar range of products to their most developed worldwide counterparts.
Supermarkets: Those can vary widely in both size and variety of products. The main supermarket chains in Mexico are Walmart, Superama, Soriana, Chedraui, HEB, and Mega hypermarkets. There are also membership stores such as Sam’s Club and Costco.
Drug stores: Most medications, with the exception of narcotics and recently, antibiotics, are available without prescription. Many pharmacies have outpatient consulting rooms situated next door where, for $ 2- 3 USD dollars, you can have a (typically) fresh-out-of-medical-school doctor look at your throat, take your temperature, check your blood pressure, and write you several prescriptions that you can buy at the pharmacy.
Furniture stores: Mexico has a variety of shopping options to personalize all of your living spaces. In Mexico, supermarkets sell a limited range of furniture and home furnishings. In order to find quality furniture and furnishings, you’ll need to go to a more specialized store.
